The vista is the subject of Elioth Gruner’s 1937 "Weetangera" painting. Use the Shepherd's Lookout carpark on Stockdill Drive. As you walk out towards the lookout there is a gap in the fence on the right, which is the side trail out to Gruner's Vista. You can also walk in from Macnamara.

Walking back from the lookout, which has a nice view over the Murrumbidgee River. Many eastern grey kangaroos and a few swamp wallabies. Also encountered an eastern brown snake on the path - watch your step.
